[et_pb_section admin_label="section"][et_pb_row admin_label="row"][et_pb_column type="4_4"][et_pb_text admin_label="Text"] You Guys! Happy Friday!! So it's November, and with it comes another month of charity fundraisers except this time it's specifically geared toward men. Movember! Yes, the month where some of the men in your life grow moustaches to raise awareness in support of men's health and prostate cancer (not because they're shielding their adorable faces from the elements in colder climates!). The actual back story on how the Movember campaign was founded is awesome and can be found here: http://us.movember.com/about/history. Check it out, it's worth the read!
So back to the charity...I love men, I mean, I produced 2 of them (well, they're still technically boys, but one day...), what's not to love? I want you guys to stick around for as long as possible so making sure you get your regular check ups and preventative procedures done as you mature is very important. My friend Will (not to be confused with my husband Will) has been participating in Movember for several years. We used to work together and as soon as November hit the shaving would stop and the facial hair would start. He raises money for Kathy's Crusaders, a team founded by his friend in memory of his mother Kathy who lost her battle with cancer in 2010.
Like most other charities, there are several ways to contribute. You can go directly to the Movember website and make a donation http://us.movember.com/donate or you can go to a team or individual page to donate, here's Will's: HTTP://MOBRO.CO/WILLBOHN
I hope you'll consider making a donation for this very important cause. Cancer in any form is a horrible disease and I'm sure it has touched all of our lives in some way. I know I'll be dedicating more pay it forward Friday's to other cancer causes but since it's No- I mean Movember, I'll give this one to the guys. Please make a donation and share this with your friends...so far over $533 million dollars has been raised since 2003 for men's health and prostate cancer research...let's keep contributing until it's gone.
